Det elektroakustiska verket A Musician On Board the Ocean Mapping Expedition, eller MUSICOMEXP, av tonsättaren och ljudkonstnären Aurélie Ferrière har framförts runt om i Sverige, i Europa och i USA och mött idel hyllningsrop. Senast framfördes det i det toppmoderna konserthuset Great Amber i Liepāja i Lettland.

Syntar och förstärkta ljud blandas med inspelningar från en två månader lång seglats utanför Papua Nya Guinea: mullrande, dova undervattensljud liksom skeppets knarrande, brum och slag. Summan är en fantasieggande, hypnotisk ljudbild som i kombination med suggestiv ljussättning närmast framkallar en känsla av att själv befinna sig under vattenytan.
