Sigrid Hjertén är en av det svenska avantgardets frontgestalter. Hon var i sin ungdom elev till Henri Matisse i Paris, där hon också tog starka intryck av Paul Cézannes måleri. I samtiden både hyllades och kritiserades hon för sitt expressiva färgmåleri.
Föreläsare: Elisabet Hedstrand, museipedagog.
