I utställningen skildras hur nordiska kvinnliga konstnärer i slutet av 1800-talet kom att erövra konstnärsrollen under en tid av radikala samhällsförändringar och jämställdhetssträvanden. Omkring 120 kvinnliga konstnärer från Norden studerade under denna omvälvande period i Paris. Här visas kända konstnärinnor som Anna Ancher, Hanna Hirsch-Pauli och Helene Schjerfbeck men även mindre kända och ett antal manliga konstnärer.
Föreläsare: Carina Rech, intendent och utställningskurator.
