Listan på vad OSKAR HUMLEBO, mer känd som MOTO BOY, hunnit med sen debuten 2007 börjar bli för lång för att summeras i annat än en självbiografi. Roller i opera (‘L’Orfeo’ Wermland Opera 2014), musikal (‘The Feeling Of Going’ Malmö Opera 2017) och teaterproduktioner (‘Faust’ Folkteatern Gävleborg 2015, ‘Lubiewo’ Göteborgs Stadsteater 2012, ‘Vinnaren tar allt’ Malmö Stadsteater 2018) har varvats med symfoniska konsertsamarbeten, ett tusental internationella konserter och 10 år som gitarrist med svenska poplegenderna The Cardigans.
Han har synts som producent för artister som Mia Skäringer och Petra Marklund, som andra halvan i elektronikaduon Pikko, som gitarrist med glamrock bandet The Ark, som förband till bland andra Whitney Houston, Smashing Pumpkins och Suede, och till och med som pausnummer i Melodifestivalens final.
Däremellan finns åren i Berlin med skivproduktioner i legendariska Funkhaus (‘Keep your darkness secret’ 2014, ‘New Music’ 2017, ‘Stökigt Hjärta’ 2019) tillsammans med Österrikiska producenten Niko Stoessl(GRAU, Dave Gahan), som innehåller samarbeten med bla Nina Persson (THE CARDIGANS), Christian Eigner (Depeche Mode) och isländska kompositören Ólafur Arnalds.
Ryggraden i Moto Boys’s verksamhet har alltid varit just de egna albumen, det säregna soundet, melodierna och den unika rösten, en blandning av sakral gosskörsmusik, synthpop och ett närmast jazzinfluerat gitarrspel.
Hans första skivor ‘Moto Boy’ (2008) och ‘Lost in the call’ (2010) beskrevs som "en hel gosskör i fjäderboa" (SVD) och "ett stort Svenskt album" (DI Weekend).
2024 ser återkomsten med ett nytt efterlängtat fullängdsalbum skrivet och inspelat under de speciella åren 2020-2023, ett album i egen produktion, släppt på egen label, med det egna soundet i sublim fokus.
Oskar Humlebo kallar det själv för sitt ‘utan tvekan bästa album’ men också för sitt sista under namnet Moto Boy.
Om det verkligen är det sista vi hör av Moto Boy återstår att se, men att Oskar Humlebo är en av Sveriges mest säregna, begåvade och hårdast arbetande artister råder det inget tvivel om.
