Sverige har blivit en diktatur och alla olik tänkade medborgare fängslas och förvinner. Mitt i detta befinner sig Walter Fernström. Han hamnar i fånglägret Norra Latin utan att veta varför. I cellen mittemot sitter Samuel Stensjö, en frihetssångare som revolterat mot det nya kontrollerade samhället. När de möts, flätas deras liv ihop och plötsligt så förändras allt för Walter. Vad har hänt med Sverige? Är det som händer i vårat samhälle rätt eller fel? Dessa frågor måste Walter helt plötsligt ta ställning till...
