En föreställning med ord, toner och måleri baserad på Berta Hanssons dagboksanteckningar och bilder.
Efter folkskoleseminariet i Umeå kom Berta Hansson 1935 som nyutexaminerad lärare till Fredrika kyrkby i Västerbotten där hon arbetade fram till världskrigets slut. Bertas liv i Fredrika kretsade kring barnen som hon ägnade stor omsorg, och som hon kärleksfullt berättade om i sina dagboksanteckningar och gestaltade i sitt måleri. Ett måleri som efter ett oväntat besök en vinterkväll skulle ta fart och leda till en ny karriär som konstnär.
Föreställningen består av Berta Hanssons dagboksberättelser, teckningar och målningar från tiden i Fredrika. Marianne Folkedotters högläsning inramas av Rickard N Jokelas klangrika basspel.

Basisten Rickard N Jokela har efter resor i bland annat Indien, Japan och Schweiz utvecklat ett eget förhållande till improvisation och komposition med solospel i fokus.
