Artisten och textförfattaren Mattis släppte i slutet av 2020 det kritikerrosade debutalbumet "Ett tag till" inspelat i studion Röda Paradise.
Gaffa slog fast att albumet är “ett imponerande kliv framåt för en skicklig textförfattare som visar hantverket både omtanke och hänsyn” och i Göteborgs-Posten beskrivs debuten som ”ett av 2020 års bästa skivor”.
Albumet nominerades i kategorin årets Hiphop/Rnb av Gaffa samt utsågs till årets textförfattare och nykomling av Kingsize magazine.
Under 2021 har albumet följts upp av singlarna Tiotusen Celsius (ft. Skander) och Colosseum (ft. Ikhana & Embee).
Utöver musiksläpp har Mattis också synts som medverkande i föreställningen "Spoken Word" på Dramaten som sändes på SVT under våren 2021.
Med en fot i varje värld förenas ett litterärt språk med en mer vardaglig ton när Mattis närmar sig lyssnaren på ett både varsamt och direkt sätt.
