Ladytrons fantastiska röst är tillbaka. Helen Marnie börjar sin efterlängtade turné i Stockholm! Förbered dig för Ladytrons största hits och en kavalkad med nya fantastiska synth- och electrolåtar.
Helen Marnie startade Ladytron 1999 tillsammans med Daniel Hunt, Reuben Wu och Mira Aroyo. Bandet nådde stor internationell framgång med hits som Playgirl, Seventeen, Destroy Everything You Touch, Ghosts och Ace of Hz. Brian Eno kommenterade bandet att vara "Det bästa inom engelsk popmusik". Mellan åren 2001 och 2011 släppte de fem skivor; 604, Light & Magic, Witching Hour, Velocifero och Gravity the Seducer.
Ladytrons sångare och låtskrivare Marnie släppte sitt debutalbum, Crystal World, år 2013. Soloalbumet spelades in i Reykjavik med Dan Hunt som producent och innehåller tio låtar. Albumet berömdes av Pitchfork för att vara "witchier and mythier" än Ladytrons musik.
"I knew I wanted it to be quite pop and song based. I also wanted it to be more personal and emotive, which I hope comes across. It's not a dance album. Parts of it are serene and beautiful, others are dark. It's like a landscape that changes over time.", förklarar Helen Marnie sitt soloalbum.
Singeln "The Hunter" från hennes debutalbum släpptes senare igen tillsammans med remixar som var gjorda av Roman Nose, Mark Reeder och Stephen Morris (Joy Division/New Order).
Under 2014 började Helen arbeta med Jonny Scott (Strike the Colours/The Kills) både i studion och på scen. December 2014 gjorde de sin första livedebut i Glasgow och i april i år släpps singeln "Wolves". Elektroballaden "Wolves" är ett rop mot etablissemanget och Marnie kommenterar singeln med "The song reflects the sea of change that is people power. Where there is power, there is resistance".
Nu är det äntligen dags för Marnies efterlängtade turné. Var först med att följa med på hennes fantastiska resa som startar på Debaser … den 12e maj, en premiär du inte kan missa!
