25 år. 25 releaser. 25 veckor.
Det har gått 25 år sedan boysen tog sina första steg som Looptroop Rockers i Embees pojkrum i hyreshuslängan i Västerås. Över 1000 spelningar och otaliga albumsläpp senare känner de sig hungrigare än någonsin. Att de dessutom blev invalda i Swedish Music Hall of Fame nyligen känns extra peppigt.
För att fira detta ordentligt bestämde de sig i höstas för att satsa allt på att färdigställa 25 nya låtar/EPs som skulle ges ut på alla digitala plattformar varje fredag under 25 veckor.
Bland dessa 25 släpp återfanns rykande färska Looptroop Rockers-låtar blandat med soloutflykter av en punchline-rappande och terränglöpande Promoe, instrumentala och vokala beats designade av Embee samt ett gäng samarbeten med vokalister och andra musiker som de lärt känna längs vägen.
Det hela började med att de kände sig för otåliga för att sätta sig ned och börja skriva på ännu ett album som först skulle släppas om kanske ett och ett halvt år. Istället ville de göra det på ett nytt sätt, när en låt var klar så skulle den helt enkelt ut direkt.
Så äntligen dags för hemmaplan. Av erfarenhet oavsett artist så ges det alltid det lilla extra när man är på hemmaplan, med fans, vänner och familj i publiken. DJ Lion från First Class Sound värmer upp golvet och vem vet, kanske hittar vi delar av LTR vid dj-bänken.
