Den 25 november landar äntligen Les Big Byrds nya album ”Eternal Light Brigade och att döma av nya singeln ”Eyes Like Dead Stars” har bandet återigen överträffat sig själva.
Den 25 november kommer Les Big Byrd till Oceanen missa inte det!
Supergrupper har en tendens att vara bättre på papperet än i praktiken. Det gäller dock inte Les Big Byrd. Tvärtom så verkar den odiskutabla talangpoolen hos medlemmarna Jocke Åhlund (Caesars, Smile, Teddybears), Frans Johansson (Fireside)
och Nino Keller (Caesars, The Slaves) tillsammans växa sig till en helhet ännu större än delarna precis som det ska
vara med riktigt bra band. Så när Les Big Byrd blandar sin egensinniga häxbrygd av psykedelisk rock, kraut, virvlande synthar och oemotståndliga pophookar lyckas de med konststycket att skapa något som andas sann frihet. Monotont, hypnotiskt och drivande men aldrig ens för ett kort ögonblick tråkigt, Les Big Byrds sinnesutvidgande rymdrock är en perfekt farkost för den som vill resa till kosmos i en rymdraket nedklottrad med uppgiven
romantik.
Les Big Byrd debuterade 2014 med den utmärkta ’They Worshipped Cats’ och redan året efter var de redo att spela in uppföljaren. Men ibland blir saker inte som man tänkt sig och kombinationen av producenten Pete ’Sonic Boom’ Kember och Anton Newcombe (The Brian Jonestown Massacre) visade sig vara annat än optimal. Sessionerna gick i stöpet och först 2017 när saker fått ligga på is ett tag delade Les Big Byrd med sig av alstret Two Man Gang, som blivit deras största framgång hittills. År 2018 släpptes det hyllade albumet ’Iran Iraq IKEA’ och den 25 november landar äntligen nya albumet ’Eternal Light Brigade’. Att döma av singeln ’Eyes Like Dead Stars’ så verkar bandet återigen ha överträffat sig själva. Missa inte när Les Big Byrd ger sig ut på turné i höst!
