Lars Jansson och Erik Söderlind är två av Sveriges absolut finaste Jazzmusiker, att de har slagit sig samman och spelat in ett gemensamt album är nästan för bra för att vara sant. Dessutom har de med sig Niklas Fernquist på bas och Paul Svanberg trummor in i Studion, resultatet är fenomenalt. Lördagen den 28:e september blir det exklusiv Releasekonsert på UtopiaJazz med musik från albumet What the Moment Brings.
Erik Söderlind om Lars Jansson:
”Lars är en förebild som jag såg upp till när jag började spela jazz . Det var något med hans timing, idéer och frasering som omedelbart fångade mig. Och bakom allt detta upptäckte jag snart en kompositör av högsta rang . Att jag nu själv får vara en del av hans värld känns ärofullt och fantastiskt kul.
Men bäst av allt är ändå att Lars blivit en fin vän.”

”Känner både glädje o tacksamhet att få spela med dessa tre unga begåvade musiker. P. Svanberg är min son så honom har jag spelat med sedan han som 4 åring fick sina första trummor. Vi har utvecklas o inspirerats av varandra sedan han började spela. En poet med vacker touch på sitt instrument. N. Fernkvist är en komplett basist/musiker som har bra time, fin intonation, drive, energi o flow i sitt komp o solospel.
E. Söderlind står för de kvaliteter som jag själv försöker uppnå; vacker klang ( att han spelar utan plektrum påverkar säkert att han har ett stort sound), utvecklat melodiskt sångbart spel och ett inre lugn som gör att hans spel vilar o alltid är organiskt.”
