Vi inbjuder till en stunds musik i vackra Engelska kyrkan i närheten av Berwaldhallen. Givetvis står i första hand brittiska tonsättare på programmet: Byrd, Tavener och Britten. Vi firar också några jubilarer: Clara Schumann föddes 1819, Sven-Erik Bäck och Sven-Erik Johanson föddes 1919.
I Brittens tonsättning av de sju texter som bildar verket A.M.D.G (Ad majorem Dei gloriam – to the greater glory of God) ryms det tillitsfullt naiva sida vid sida med det pompösa, rytmiska och överraskande. Det fragment av texten som vi valt som konsertrubrik, "Mother of mine", kommer från sången Rosa Mystica där Jesu moder likas vid ett rosenträd i Guds trädgårdar.
