Det mullrar i berget, det gungar och sjunger i skogen – vinden tar tag i en ton och vindlar upp den bland molnen…Det må vara Sveriges högsta berg, men på 1970 talet var Kebnekajse mest känt som Sveriges högsta band - banbrytande för den elektrifierade spelmansmusiken.
När deras tunga version av Horga åter drog fram på oräkneliga musikfester gick ringdansen runt så att hippiehåren fladdrade och knätofsarna rök. ”Inget ont om Skansens spelmän – men Kebnekajses mystiska version av Horgalåten med elgitarrer och trummor kommer förmodligen närmare den riktiga folkmusiktraditionen.” Kalle Holmqvist - Aftonbladet
Sedan nystarten 2004 har Kebnekajse gett ut tre nya plattor, alla med 4 och 5 i betyg i pressen. De turnerar igen och ljudbilden har blivit större och musiken ännu mer mogen.
