Gitarristen Kahanga Dekula “Vumbi”, har gjort sig känd som Sveriges främsta ambassadör för kongolesisk musik sedan han flyttade hit i början av 90-talet.
De senaste åren har Vumbi satsat mer och mer på sitt eget Dekula Band, som gav ut sin debutskiva 2019, men hans karaktäristiska gitarrspel kan även höras på bland annat några av Kaliffas största hits och nyligen släppte han också den hyllade soloskivan "Congo Guitar” producerad av Karl-Jonas Winqvist. Denna kväll får ni se några olika sidor av Vumbi, när han bjuder in delar av Dekula Band tillsammans med några av Klubb Mariamas musiker.

Konserten arrangeras i samarbete med Bida studieförbund och med stöd av Statens kulturråd och Stockholm Stad.

Konsertklubben, gästspel av skilda slag, musik, dans och scenkonstföreställningar. Tyngdpunkten ligger på musikutbudet; en ständigt skiftande mix av opera, improvisationsmusik, jazz, visor, världsmusik, flamenco och udda musikaliska möten!
