THE CRIMSON SHADOWS
The Crimson Shadows bildades 1984 av Peter Maniette, hans brorsa Johan och Jens Lindberg. Kort därpå kom Måns Månsson med på gitarr efter att han och Jens hade träffats på en fest där Måns gick runt i toga och spelade Yardbirds på en akustisk gitarr.Crimson Shadows var ett av garagebanden på åttiotalet som under åren har fått mer eller mindre legendstatus inom garagerock/rock’n’roll scenen trots att bandet bara existerade i ca ett år från sent 1984 och en bit in i 1986.Under den tiden spelade de in två singlar som numera har blivit dyra samlarobjekt och som betydde mycket för främst den europeiska scenen som har växt fram sedan dess. 1988 återförenades bandet kort för att spela in en mini-LP för det tyska bolaget Mystery Scene.Crimson Shadows var tidiga i Europa med att anamma moptop-looken från främst amerikanska band och se ut som en mix av Music Machine och Chocolate Watchband. Det var dock inte direkt uttänkt – som många trodde – utan medlemmarna hade redan looken och levde och andades garagerock och rock’n’roll. En stor skillnad mot andra liknande band var dock att Crimson Shadows enbart spelade egna låtar medan de flesta andra höll sig till covers.

Högaktuella med ett sprillans nytt album där de hyllar Peter Maniette med en samling nyinspelade tolkningar av The Wylde Mammoths bästa låtar.
