SIROCCO
Mästerliga uttolkare av melankolins musikaliska kraft!
Sirocco spelar sånger från judisk och arabisk musiktradition med influenser från sydamerikansk folkmusik, nordisk folkmusik och flamenco. Fyra musiker med olika musikalisk inriktning möts runt idén om en gemensam musik, inspirerade av den arabiska guldåldern i det medeltida södra Spanien - Al Andalus. Bandet har lånat sitt namn av den varma vind som blåser upp från norra Afrikas öknar över Medelhavet för att sedan svepa in över Europa. I november 2014 släpptes albumet "Amirim" i samarbete med världsmusikstjärnan Yair Dalal. Den har tagits mycket väl emot av press och publik, bl.a var den en av fjolårets bästa skivor enligt
Göteborgsposten.
