Klabbes Bank är något unikt från den svenska jazzscenen. Det är musik som vågar dröja sig kvar i stämningar och som med sin improvisatoriska nerv lyckats skapa ett eget sound.
2019 började med ett besök i studio och i november samma år släppte bandet sitt sjätte album som även vann årets jazz på Manifestgalan i februari 2020. Manifestgalan är den oberoende musikindustrins motsvarighet till grammis.
Det är en sextett där tre blåsares högst personliga klang badar i en trio som producerar ett elektroniskt hav. Ibland surfar blåsarna ovanpå, ibland går det inte att skilja dem åt och musiken blir ett kollage, ett hav av ljud. Musiken är en blandning av elektronica, improvisation, noise och magiska melodier.
De senaste åren har banken turnerat i USA, Mexiko, olika jazzfestivaler i Europa och sedan de första spelningarna har bandets musik varit i ständig förändring.
Bandet startades 2003 av kompositören Klabbe Hörngren, även känd i samarbeten och på turné med bland annat Loney Dear, Ane Brun och Jenny Wilson.
