Karin Rudefelt och Doctor Blues
En kväll med blues av toppklass. Det etablerade, svenska live-blues-bandet Karin Rudefelt och Doctor Blues, som 2015 valdes in i bluesens Hall of fame, spelar i stort sett eget material och blandar gärna in mycket influenser från rock, funk och jazz i sin musik. Resultatet blir en tung och rockig blues med mycket skaparglädje och stor variation mellan låtarna. De fem medlemmarna spelar en rå blues med influenser från andra genrer. Deras musik har blivit väldigt omtyckt att både lyssna på och dansa till. Bandet räknas till förnyarna av bluesen som genre, och experimenterar gärna i bluesens gränsland – dock med rötterna väl förankrade i den traditionella myllan.
Den första fullängd-CD:n med eget material ”No Pain No Gain” kom ut 2003, och fick ett varmt mottagande och fina recensioner i bland annat det amerikanska bluesmagasinet Blues Revue. 2006 släppte bandet sin andra CD, ”Breakin´ the Chain”, och med et kom det definitiva lyftet. Sammanlagt har gruppen gett ut fem skivor.
