Karin Burman Quintet presenterar vocal jazz med med doft av soul och latin och bjuder på svängiga originalsånger matchade med favoritstandards ur the American Song Book.
Nya och välbekanta evergreens, lekfullt levererade av en dynamisk kvintett rutinerade musikanter från Göteborg med omnejd.
Karin har under åren bland annat drivit egen jazzkvartett och gästat flera storband i regionen. Hon har också varit barpianist, jobbat med Daniel Nolgård Trio och turnerat som ’instrumental vokalist’ i skotsk-svensk projekt av Martina Almgren. Nyligen var Karin aktuell med Lindholmen Big Band som uruppförde hennes originalmusik i storbandsarr av Peter Burman, keyboard. Som sångerska och textförfattare har Karin ett antal produktioner bakom sig tillsammans med Peter. Deras senaste platta spelades in i New York i samarbete med legendariske trumslagaren Lenny White och släpptes i USA 2020 under namnet CONST.
Detta samarbete har fortsatt i andra former; just nu skriver de för symfoniorkester i projekt med jazzviolinisten Michal Urbaniak (Polen).
Till vardags jobbar Karin som musiklärare och har coachat flera hundra sångelever under genom åren.
