Juste Debout är världens största tävling inom streetdans. Den är något av dansvärldens motsvarighet till fotbolls-VM. För första gången arrangeras den nordiska uttagningen av tävlingen i Malmö! Dansare från hela Europa kommer att delta i stilar som locking, hiphop, house, popping och experimental. Vinnarna i respektive stil får representera Norden i finalen i Paris den 4 mars 2018.
Juste Debout blev känd hos den breda publiken i Sverige genom den guldbaggebelönade dokumentären ”Martha & Niki”. En film om de svenska dansarna Martha Nabwire och Niki Tsappos som vann tävlingen i Paris 2010 och blev historiens första kvinnliga världsmästare i hiphop. Vid Juste Debout Nordic i Malmö kommer Niki att vara konferencier.
Juste Debout är franska och betyder ungefär ”stå upp för din dans”. Det är en så kallad freestyle-tävling där deltagarna inte vet vilken musik de ska dansa till eller vilken motståndare de kommer att möta. Som tävlande är det tillåtet att vara med på vilken uttagning en vill runtom i världen. Det gör att den nordiska uttagningen får en internationell karaktär och gästas av dansare från andra europeiska länder. I Malmö har även momenten dancehall och Nordic Showcase of the Year lagts till utöver de officiella Juste Debut kategorierna.

Juste Debout is the world's largest street dance contest. For the first time the Nordic competition will be held in Malmö! Dancers from all over Europe will participate in styles like locking, hip hop, house, popping and experimental. The winners of each categories will represent the Nordic countries in the final in Paris on March 4, 2018.
Juste Debout became known to the broad audience in Sweden through the award winning documentary "Martha & Niki". A film about the Swedish dancers Martha Nabwire and Niki Tsappos who won the competition in Paris in 2010 and became the world's first female world champions in hip hop. At Juste Debout Nordic in Malmö, Niki will be one of the hosts.
Juste Debout is French and means "stand up for your dance". It's a so-called freestyle competition where participants do not know what music to dance to or what opponents they will meet. As a contestant, it is allowed to participate in any other qualifications that one wants around the world. This makes the Nordic qualifications an international character and dancers from all over European will participate. This year the categories Dancehall and Nordic Showcase of the Year have been added in addition to the official Juste Debut Nordic program.
