Den franske författaren Marcel Proust härstammade från den fransk-judiska släkten Weil. Men i hans storverk "På spaning efter den tid som flytt" får de judiska figurer som förekommer inte särskilt smickrande porträtt. Samtidigt har Dreyfusaffären, en av de största rättsskandalerna i fransk historia, en central plats i verket och Proust var dessutom själv mycket engagerad i fallet. Vilken betydelse hade egentligen det judiska arvet för Proust? I samarbete med Marcel Proust-sällskapet ordnar Judisk Kultur i Sverige en kväll som kretsar kring Marcel Proust och det judiska.
