Midsommarnatt, full av undantagstillstånd och galenskap. Fröken Julie och Jean rör sig farligt nära varandra nu. Men ni behöver inte oroa er. Jean har ändå gränser. Eller?
I Revets nya monologföreställning får publiken följa med in i kokerskan Kristins rum och ta del av hennes version av midsommarnatten, höra henne navigera bland individualism och skyldigheter, kärlek och svek. Hur stora möjligheter har vi egentligen att förändra våra liv? Hur sipprar makt, samhällsstrukturer och könsnormer in i våra romantiska relationer och livsval?
"Jag spänner upp himlen med egna händer" är en lekfull, rolig och brännande aktuell monologföreställning om kärlek, makt och längtan efter att få känna sig okej. I föreställningen blir Strindbergs originaltext ett bakgrundsbrus till kokerskan Kristins berättelse.
