Emanuel Ax (f. 1949 i Lviv) är en av världens allra främsta pianister och framträder regelbundet med de mest framstående orkestrarna och dirigenterna både i USA, i Europa och Asien. Han är känd för sin enastående bredd i både uttryck och repertoar. Emanuel Ax diskografi är omfattande och han har fått en rad Grammy för sina inspelningar, flera av dem tillsammans med Yo-Yo Ma.
Ax besöker Stockholms Konserthus den 10 och 11 januari där han framträder med Kungliga filharmoniker och dirigenten Ryan Bancroft en ny pianokonsert av Anders Hillborg - The MAX concerto, Igor Stravinsky Symfonier av blåsare, och Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Symfoni nr 41 ’Jupiter'.
