När Nashvillekändisen JP Harris ger sig ut på Europaturné i duosättning med Chance McCoy från självaste Old Crow Medicine Show så är det dels en big deal för alla med smak för traditionell country, men kanske främst för den stora och entusiastiska oldtimepubliken som länge suktat efter detta.
JP och Chance möttes under omständigheter som kan te sig något annorlunda mot många andra duor: under en veckolång, lerig fiddler's convention bland bergen i West Virginia, för många år sedan. Under de efterföljande tio åren fortsatte de att springa på varandra slumpmässigt och det slutade varje gång med att de drack sig packade på maltwhisky och förlorade sig i gamla traditionella fiol-och-banjo-låtar från 1800-talet som de båda älskar innerligt.
Med tiden bildade JP Harris sitt ryktbara honky tonk-band JP Harris & The Tough Choices (som turnerat i Skandinavien både 2015 och 2016), medan Chance McCoy gick vidare och anslöt sig till det Grammy-belönade Old Crow Medicine Show vars skivor i dagsläget sålt flera gånger platina.
