Vocal Art Ensemble har tillsammans med Jan Yngwe under decennier hängivet engagerat sig i vår tids brännande existensiella frågor som vår miljö, demokrati och människors lika värde .
Därför känns det nu både naturligt och extra angeläget att vår nästa konsert ; I am-Human! lördag 12/11 kl 17.00 i Domkyrkan ges till förmån för människor på flykt. Intäkterna går till FN:s flyktingorgan UNHCR .
Vi bjuder på fantastisk körmusik med stor spännvidd; häftiga ”Gods Great Dust Storm” av den norska gruppen Katzenjammer i arrangemang för VAE av Henrik Dahlgren. Kultförklarade brittiska syntpopbandet Depeche Mode´s hit "Enjoy the Silence" i ny version för kör av Eric Whitacre. Antony and the Johnsons "Cut the World" om att våga stå upp för sig själv och bryta mönster , i ännu ett nyskrivet arr för VAE av Henrik Dahlgren. Den amerikanske tonsättaren Dominik DiOrio som med sitt ”I am” målar en mycket stark viljeyttring kring vår existens. Norrmannen Ola Gjeilos underbart klangrika och mångstämmiga ”Contrition” för kör och sopransolist. Lägg därtill musik bl.a ur två mästerverk för kör; schweizaren Frank Martin "Mässa för två körer" och den ryske tonsättaren Alfred Schnittke ” Konsert för kör".
Tag tillfället i akt att njuta av musiken samtidigt som du gör en viktig insats för människor på flykt.
