Vandra runt Vaxön tillsammans med guiden Mikaela Lodén som lotsar er längs strandnära promenadstråk och berättar om öns historia.
Turen börjar i Söderhamnen i centrala Vaxholm och följer sedan den södra kustlinjen till öns västra spets på Eriksö. Där gör vi en kort paus för att vila benen och äta eventuell medhavd matsäck. På tillbakavägen vandrar vi längs öns norra del tills vi kommer tillbaka till Söderhamnen. Vi vandrar hela tiden så långt det är möjligt alldeles i närheten utav strandlinjen.
Guiden berättar om det som vi passerar under vägen och kommer att visa er de främsta sevärdheterna, små gömda smultronställen samt ta er till de platser som har den bästa utsikten. På den här turen får ni möjlighet att se hela Vaxön med den pittoreska stadskärnan, de pastellfärgade grosshandlarvillorna, de gamla fiskarkvarteren och de fantastiska naturområdena. Under hela turen håller vi oss i närheten av vattnet och kanske ser vi vilda djur såsom säl, bäver, harar eller ekorrar.
Vandringen är 9 km lång och tar ungefär 3 timmar inklusive en rast på ca 20 minuter vid Eriksö.
Vandringen är inte tillgänglig för rullstolar, rollatorer etc då vi vandrar längs skogsstigar, trappor och branta berg. Ingen speciell utrustning krävs bortsett från bekväma skor och kanske en vattenflaska. Om man vill ta med matsäck så ordnar man det på egen hand i förväg.

Start och avslut: Söderhamnen i centrala Vaxholm (där Waxholmsbåtarna lägger till)
Pris: 295 kr per person.
Hitta till Söderhamnen: buss 670 från Tekniska Högskolan i Stockholm, båt från Strömkajen i Stockholm eller bil via väg 274.
