Upplev det historiska Vaxholm!
Guiden Mikaela Lodén möter upp er utanför Pressbyrån vid Söderhamnsplan i centrala Vaxholm klockan 11 på förmiddagen. Tillsammans promenerar vi genom den pittoreska skärgårdsstaden med trevliga små butiker, caféer, restauranger, badstränder och vacker natur.
Stadsvandringen tar ungefär en och en halv timme och går delvis genom stadens äldsta kvarter, där de små pastellfärgade trähusen omges av bryggor och prunkande trädgårdar. Guiden berättar om strömmingsfisket och hur kung Gustav Vasa beslutade sig för att placera försvaret av Stockholms inlopp här vid Vaxholm. Ni får också höra om sommargästerna som kom till staden under 1800-talet och om roliga små anekdoter. Vandringen fortsätter förbi stadens rådhus och avslutas i Västerhamnen, ungefär kl 12.30.
På den gemytliga restaurang Hamnkrogen serveras ni stadens egen paradrätt till lunch – stekt strömming med potatismos och tillbehör.
Guideturen och restaurangen är tillgänglig för rörelsehindrade.
Dag: Långfredag 29 mars, kl 11.00 - ca kl 13.30.
Pris: 495 kronor per person. I priset ingår guidad stadsvandring med företaget Arkeologievent samt strömmingslunch och kaffe på maten på restaurang Hamnkrogen. Vatten ingår till lunchen - om annan dryck önskas så beställs och betalas det på plats på restaurangen.
