Halv åtta hos Roots är en gemensam musiksatsning av Region Halland, ABF Halland, Musikalen & Roots där vi tillsammans i goda vänners lag träffas, äter och lyssnar på de bästa musikerna Halland har att erbjuda i en hemtrevlig miljö.
Först ut i denna satsning har vi Wikedhvani (Josefin Wikevand - varberg).
Wikedhvani bjuder på skira toner och kvinnlig urkraft där hav, natur, medmänsklighet och tron på varje människas obegränsade potential står i fokus. Med personliga texter på både engelska och svenska skapar hon sin egen musikaliska kärlekshistoria inspirerad av både musikal, visa och det klassiska singer songwritersoundet.
Bakom Wikedhvani – som kort översatt betyder ”ljudet från norr” står musikalartisten och textförfattaren Josefin Wikevand som efter en längre tids sjukskrivning bestämde sig för att ta fram gitarren och tonsätta sina upplevelser. Hittills har hon släppt tre låtar, varav en på svenska och planerar för ett kommande album.
Hon skriver också på sin egna föreställning ”Följ mig” – om att vara anhörig, och har just påbörjat manuset på sitt ”livs projekt” – musikalen ”Motherland”, om Australiens historia.
