Gustavsforsvarvet är ett terränglopp som arrangeras för andra gången i Gustavsfors. Bakom projektet står ortens främsta idrottsförening Gustavsfors IF tillsammans med initiativtagarna Henrik Jonsson, Linda Knutsson, Erik Knutsson och Ragnar Kierkegaard Suttner.
Söndagen den 17 april 2016 klockan 12.00 går startskottet vid idrottsplatsen Björkvallen i Gustavsfors. Banans längd sträcker drygt åtta kilometer och är av blandad karaktär med björk- och granskog, snåriga och ogästvänliga stigar men också på småvägar genom hjärtat av samhället. Gustavsforsvarvet är ett terränglopp att räkna med. En utmaning för den envisa.
Arrangemangets primära syfte är att utveckla landsbygden på mikronivå och samtidigt inspirera till långsiktiga idéer på en mer nationell nivå. Samtidigt vill vi uppmana till motion och god hälsa. Gustavsforsvarvet är därmed inte en vinstdrivande tävling utan ses som en investering för landsbygden och görs möjligt med hjälp av ideella krafter.
