Frida Öhrn har tillbringat det senaste decenniet i några av Sveriges mest framgångsrika konstellationer och tar nu sina första steg som soloartist med singeln “What Are You Waiting For”, som producerats av August Zachrisson (Tula) och Johannes Berglund (Fever Ray, I Break Horses, Shout Out Louds) Singeln gav en försmak av vad som kunde förväntas av hennes kritikerrosade debut EP ”Bang, Bang”
Sedan dess har Öhrn släppt en ny remix av ”Release Me” och blivit ambassadör för Fatta!
Frida Öhrn har i Oh Laura och Cookies n Beans medverkat på några av de största svenska låtarna sedan millenieskiftet, som storhiten “Release Me”, men när hon nu väljer att gå solo gör hon det med ett nytt sound och musikalisk riktning som hon inte tidigare visat upp. Elektroniska landskap omgiver Frida Öhrns fantastiska röst och melodier, med en ljudbild där Massive Attack och Björk möter åttiotalets synthpop och modern svensk electropop i en omedelbar mix. Euforiskt, uppmanande och drabbande.
SKATAN
Skatans musik rymmer popmystik och skogsmagi. Rösten är i fokus och den är stundtals vacker, stundtals farlig. Musiken har sin bas i den enkla popen men rymmer element av allt ifrån jazz och folk till cirkuskabaré.
