Adattato, diretto e interpretato dalla compagnia teatrale Varför inte, con il supporto di ABF e FAIS.

Stupidi!
Sì, stiamo dicendo proprio a voi! Cioè, a voi, a noi, a loro… a tutti! Eh sì, perché siamo tutti potenzialmente stupidi nel giusto contesto. La stupidità è molto contagiosa e se non si sta attenti si è facilmente colpiti.
Tranquilli, però, c’è un antidoto: l’amore. L’amore per i propri cari, per il prossimo, per sé stessi… e anche per la sapienza. Il nostro insegnante Leonardo ne sa qualcosa e armato dell’amore per Sofia e per i libri cercherà di dimostrarlo in un piccolo villaggio di campagna colpito da una terribile maledizione che da secoli ha reso tutti stupidi.
Venite a teatro per scoprire se riuscirà nel suo intento!
Neil Simon, prolifico drammaturgo newyorkese, ha vinto numerosi premi per le sue opere teatrali, tra cui diversi Tony Awards e un Premio Pulitzer. In questa attualissima commedia del 1981, con ingranaggi teatrali perfetti, giochi di parole e situazioni comiche surreali, ironizza e gioca con la stupidità, non rinunciando però a fornirci un importante insegnamento sulla natura umana.

Dumma!
Ja, vi säger det just till er! Alltså, till er, till oss, till dem… till alla! För visst kan vi alla känna oss dumma ibland. Dumheten är mycket smittsam och kan lätt drabba den som inte är vaksam.
Men bara lugn, det finns ett motgift: kärlek. Kärlek till sina nära och kära, till sin nästa, till sig själv… och även till visdomen. Vår lärare Leonardo vet ett och annat om detta. Utrustad med sin kärlek till Sofia och till böckerna ska han försöka bevisa det för en liten by på landet – en by drabbad av en fruktansvärd förbannelse som sedan sekler tillbaka gjort samtliga invånare dumma.
Kom till vår teaterföreställning för att ta reda på om han kommer att lyckas med det!
Neil Simon, produktiv New York-dramatiker, har belönats med ett flertal olika priser för sina teaterpjäser, bl.a. flera Tony Awards-priser och ett Pulitzerpris. I den mycket aktuella komedin “Fools” (1981) ironiserar han över dumheten, med hjälp av perfekta teatraliska grepp, ordlekar och surrealistiska komiska situationer. Samtidigt ger han oss en viktig lärdom om människans natur.
