Fritz’s Corner tillsammans med Push My Buttons presenterar ett av världens bästa, mest inflytelserika och mest legendariska band, protopunk och tillika powerpopmästarna FLAMIN’ GROOVIES. Live i Stockholm på Nobelberget den 7:e maj.
FLAMIN’ GROOVIES (US)
Flamin’ Groovies historia startar för över 50 år sen när de 1965 börjar spela i sin hemstad San Fransisco under namnet The Chosen Few. De byter namn ganska snabbt och släpper fullängdarna “Supersnazz”. “Flamingo” och “Teenage Head” under 1969-71. Sångaren Roy Loney lämnar Flamin’ Groovies efter detta och Cyril Jordan tar bandet och flyttar till England. Det är här de spelar in powerpopklassikerna “Shake Some Action”, “Flamin’ Groovies Now” och “Jumpin’ In The Night.
Dagens line-up består av Cyril Jordan, Chris Wilson, George Alexander och Victor Penalosa.
