ABF Stockholm har nöjet att presentera en exklusiv visning av hyllade From Nowhere. Den skrämmande aktuella filmen har svensk premiär den 3 november och ABF Stockholm ger en matinévisning redan klockan 15 på premiärdagen.
Tre tonåringar – Moussa (J. Mallory McCree) från Guinea, Alyssa (Raquel Castro) från Peru och Sophie (Octavia Chavez-Richmond) från Dominikanska Republiken – kom alla till USA som barn och pluggar nu på ett gymnasium i Bronx. Som sina jämnåriga vill de hänga med vänner, bli kära och planera för college, men i motsats till sina amerikanska klasskamrater är de papperslösa och lever under ett ständigt hot. Ett hot om att bli borttvingade från den värld som de känner som sin – men som myndigheterna inte menar är deras.
När en lärare, i ett försök att hjälpa eleverna att få ordning på sina papper, sätter eleverna i kontakt med en advokat måste de börja gräva i sina familjehistorier. De måste hitta det mörker som kan vara nyckeln till en ljus framtid.
En gripande och skrämmande aktuell berättelse om papperslösa människor i USA. Internationellt hyllad och flerfaldigt prisbelönad.
