”De gula västarnas uppror” har skakat president Macron och hans regering.I grunden finns ett utbrett missnöje med den sociala och ekonomiska situationen i landet. Macrons handlingsutrymme har krympt, hans reformprogram för EU har förlorat i trovärdighet i takt med presidentens sjunkande opinionssiffror.
Benedicte Berner är uppvuxen i Paris och har sin utbildning i statsvetenskap vid Institut d’Etudes Politiques ( Sciences Po) i Paris. Hon undervisar nu i media och demokrati vid denna institution och har skrivit ett antal artiklar om fransk politik i svenska och internationella tidningar och tidskrifter. Hon är styrelseordförande i MR-organisationen Civil Rights Defenders.
