Så säger Eivør - vokalist, instrumentalist och låtskrivare med en röst som speglas av skönhet och makt - när hon frågas om var hon får sin inspiration ifrån. Det här är inte bara ord och inga visor då eftersom hon varit dedikerad till sin musik sedan hon var 15 år gammal.
Eivørs tidiga musikaliska karriär genomsyrades av de musikaliska traditionerna från hennes hemland Färöarna. Redan när hon var sexton släppte hon sitt självbetitlade debutalbum. Medan en uthållig kärlek till färöisk kultur fortfarande ligger när hennes hjärta har uttrycket utvidgats genom djupgående interaktion med andra traditioner.
Eivors musikaliska palett har utökats sedan starten, eftersom hennes album och föreställningar har inkluderat allt från jazz, country, storbandstil, klassiska influenser och rock. Senare har hon förstärkt dessa experimentella ingångar till sin egen stil av folktronica med djärvt lyriska observationer av livet.
Eivør är numera baserad i Danmark. Hennes musik täcker ett brett musikaliskt och känslomässigt spektra. Hon är en unik röst i sin intimitet, dess enkla virtuositet och olika färger vilket framgår av hennes första inspelning hela vägen till hennes tionde album Slør från 2015. Den engelska versionen av Slør släpptes i maj 2017. Utgåvan ser Eivør komma in den brittiska marknaden som utförs på BBCs Jools Holland och en utförsäljning av UK-turné i juni med en uppföljningsturné senare i 2017. Som alltid är hon en rivande liveartist med en livlig och varm scennärvaro.
