Den brittiska vokalgruppen The King's Singers bildades 1968 och har sedan dess etablerat sig som världens ledande sexstämmiga a cappella grupp. Med runt 125 framträdanden varje år i alla världsdelar och närmare 80 kompletta album har de i mer än 50 år både varit älskade av och blivit en förebild för många av världens körsångare.
Inom ramen för 2023 års upplaga av Uppsala körfestival gjorde Ecstatic Ensemble en gemensam konsert med The King's Singers i Uppsala Domkyrka. Konserten gjorde fullkomlig succé och innebar ett etablerande av ett starkt vänskapsband ensemblerna emellan.
Bandet etablerades långt tidigare - redan i och med Malena Ernmans musikaliska uppvaknande vid åtta års ålder! Det var nämligen då hon kom i kontakt med The King's Singers gärning. Gruppens körarrangemang fångade hennes uppmärksamhet och Malena gav sig i kast med att anteckna gruppens arrangemang på gehör - för att sedan skicka noterna till dem för rättning. Detta ledde sedermera till att hon blev bjuden back stage för att lära känna gruppen personligen nästa gång de gjorde konsert i Sverige.
Det personliga bandet musikerna emellan har sedan länge utvecklats till ett professionellt sådant, och The King's Singers har, sedan succén i Uppsala, uttryckligen bett Ecstatic Ensemble om att producera ytterligare en samarbetskonsert i Sverige.
Turen har nu kommit till Allhelgonakyrkan i Lund den 20 september 2025.

Organiser
Den stjärnspäckade vokalgruppen Ecstatic Ensemble bildades 2021 och har på kort tid etablerat sig som en av de främsta vokalensemblerna i Norden. Det hela startade med konsertfilmen ”Ecstatic Ensemble sjunger tidig musik” på Konserthuset i Stockholm - en film som uppskattades så mycket att den senare sändes på SVT.
Alla sångare har ett förflutet i professionella körer såsom Radiokören, Eric Ericsons kammarkör och Mogens Dahl Kammerkor. De är experter inom olika områden såsom tidig musik, barock, opera, jazz och musikal. I Ecstatic Ensemble förenas de av kärlek till stämsång.
