Få i Sverige har väl missat historien om Doug Seegers, den hemlöse gatumusikern som ”blev upptäckt” av de svenska artisterna Jill Johnson och Magnus Carlson under inspelningen av SVT-programmet Jills veranda i Nashville. Doug framförde sin låt ”Going Down to the River”, som artisterna uppskattade så mycket, att de erbjöd honom att direkt spela in låten i Johnny Cashs gamla studio och bygga mycket av programmet kring sig, sin låt och bakgrund.
Doug Seegers fick stort genomslag efter sin medverkan i programmet den 5 mars 2014. Hans facebooksida gick från 200 fans till cirka 13 000 fans på ett dygn. Avsnittet var det mest sedda på SVT Play och låten ”Going Down to the River” hamnade etta på iTunes topplista. Debutalbumet med samma namn som singeln släpptes den 28 maj 2014. Albumet gästades av Emmylou Harris hans musikerkollega från 1970-talet Buddy Miller. Albumet sålde guld (20 000 album) i början av augusti 2014 och nådde flera gånger förstaplatsen på Sveriges officiella topplista.
Sen dess har Doug Seegers tillsammans med sitt band och ibland som gästartist regelbundet turnerat i Sverige.

Vi har stugboenden, gästhamn, restaurang med lunch och a la carte, café med hembakat och glasskreationer samt upplevelser av olika slag. Välkommen till oss och njut av möten, sörmländska naturen samt fantastiska musikupplevelser på vår skärgårdsscen, belägen vid vattnet.
