Now freed, together they form Nepal's first circus. An intimate, beautiful film that harnesses the visual power of circus to give a unique perspective into the complex world of human trafficking.

Sheetal och Saraswoti träffas som tonåringar i ett flyktingläger i Kathmandu. Lägret tar hand om överlevande som såldes till korrupta indiska cirkusar när de var barn. Even When I Fall filmas över sex år och visar hur kvinnorna kämpar för att ta sig tillbaka in i samhället utan utbildning, familj eller tillhörighet. Till slut tar de fram sitt hemliga vapen, deras fantastiska färdigheter som cirkusartister och tillsammans med 11 andra överlevare från människohandel startar de Cirkus Kathmandu, Nepals första och enda cirkus.
