"Rudeboy" berättar historien om Trojan Records genom att placera det mitt i hjärtat av den kulturella revolutionen som startade ute i "the council estates" i Storbritannien och på dansgolven under 60- och 70-talet. Den visar hur denna period med immigration och innovation transformerade populärmusiken och dess kultur. Via legendariska artister så som Lee "Scratch" Perry, Toots Hibber, Ken Boothe, Neville Staple, Marcia Grifffith och många fler får vi ta del av det som skulle bli "The Motown of Reagge".
