I år fyller den svenska tryckfrihetsförordningen 250 år. I anslutning till detta ordnar ABF Stockholm i samarbete med Svenska Pen ett samtal om yttrandefriheten, som är demokratins grund.
Hedersgäst och huvudtalare är Timothy Garton Ash, som i år är aktuell med boken Free Speech, Ten Principles for a Connected World (Atlantic Books). Timothy Garton Ash är en ledande europeisk intellektuell, historiker och författare. Han är även professor vid Oxfords Universitet.
Mötet inleds av Johan Hirschfeldt, tidigare bl.a. justitiekansler. Johan deltar i förberedelserna inför riksdagens firande av 1766 års tryckfrihetsförordning.
Medverkar gör också Ola Larsmo, författare och ordförande i Svenska Pen.
