De Stora Hattarnas självbetitlade debutalbum från 2015 beskrevs av Lira Musikmagasin som “ibland också riktigt sansat”, vilket sammanfattar deras ljudvärld på ett träffande sätt. Kvintetten rör sig vid det här laget vant - men aldrig riktigt säkert - i det dimmiga gränslandet mellan bombastiska, sönderfallande rymdepos och intimt speldosesköra barnprogramstoner av det mer sagolika slaget. Sneda riff tar stöd mot uppklädd kammarmusik och riskabel fri-folk i en viktlös, elektroakustisk saltomortal. Deras för aftonen nykläckta album “Nelio” är ett stycke mörk materia - en intim och utmanande dans att förlora sig i.
