I sökandet efter att få ut mer av sitt instrument har gitarristen Dag Weibel återvänt till rötterna av jazztraditionen genom att undersöka hur bluesen använts av jazzmusiker genom tiderna som ett kraftfullt redskap inom improvisation och musikaliskt uttryck. Frågan han ställde sig var hur en jazzgitarrist kan anta samma framträdande roll i en grupp och förmedla samma känsla och övertygelse i sitt spel som ikoner som Jimi Hendrix, BB King eller Stevie Ray Vaughan, men inom jazzens ramverk, där normalt sett en blåsare hade tagit sig an den positionen i ett band.
