Over the last few years, Östgöta nation’s Theatre has performed a variety of international comedic classics such as Dario Fo’s ‘The Virtuous Burglar’ and ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ by Oscar Wilde. This autumn we continue our tradition by bringing you another classic; ‘Boeing Boeing’, by Marc Camolotti.
‘Boeing Boeing’ is the farcical comedy of a Parisian bachelor, struggling to balance a menagerie of mistresses, loose-lipped friends, and resentful household servants. After spinning a complicated web of lies, he juggles several fiancées in different countries until unexpected schedule changes due to faster aircrafts and unfortunate storms bring all three to Paris, and Bernard’s apartment! As with any good comedy, the situation gets increasingly absurd, and every one of these deplorable characters finds themselves screaming, fibbing, and suffering their way through to the play's conclusion!
