Jazz låter bäst på svenska. Eller i alla fall utomordentligt bra. Bo Sundström, frontmannen i Bo Kaspers Orkester, har i 25 års tid skrivit svenska texter till bandets jazzdoftande musik. Nu har han spelat in en skiva där han gör egna svenska tolkningar på några utvalda sånger ur den amerikanska jazzrepertoaren. Skivan som fått namnet ”Mitt dumma jag” är inspelad på klassiska Atlantis-studion i Stockholm och släpps den 25:e januari 2018
Bo Kaspers Orkester har med åren vunnit en trogen publik i Skandinavien som lärt sig uppskatta Bo Sundströms finurliga svenska texter om de vardagliga tingens tillvaro. Sundström tar med denna samling sånger upp den penna Beppe Wolgers, Olle Adolphsson och Hasse & Tage lämnat efter sig.
Det är nostalgi och nutid. Ett hommage till ett tidigt 60-tal då den coola jazzmusiken stod i zenit, då svensk jazz var som allra mest älskad och en självklar del av det svenska musikutbudet.
Nu kommer Bo till Thomas Arena Teatern den 19 Oktober!
Konserten arrangeras av Axel Fagerberg, medarrangörer är Fasching, Jazz i Mariefred och Strängnäs Kulturskola.
