MONOKROM 09 SÄSONGSPREMIÄR pres. BLUE HOUR (Blue Hour, Grounded Theory, Ostgut Ton) UK
Monokrom är Y+M och Chris Retzers gemensamma projekt där de tagit akter som Blawan, Shed, Luke Slater, James Ruskin och Norman Nodge till Stockholm. I höst är de aktuella med ännu en rad offensiva bokningar. Y+M och Chris Retzer har på sitt håll spelat på mängder av klubbar, festivaler, rave och technofester och fått både dansgolv och skogsgläntor att vibrera med knarriga basslines, aggressiva bastrummor och studstiga acidslingor. Inför höstens premiär tar de hit Blue Hour, som trots sina relativt få släpp gjort ett stort intryck på den internationella techno-scenen.

Luke Standing, som står bakom brittiska Blue Hour, har under det senaste året inte bara gjort ett betydande intryck på den lokala UK-technoscenen, utan positionerat sig som en lysande stjärna för framtida dansmusik. Han har ett unikt sound, som kombinerar det traditionella från dansgolvs-fokuserad techno med 90-talets själ och energi, och samtidigt influeras av futurism och den tidlösa electronican. Som DJ är han känd för sina inspirerande framträdanden med unika selections, som suddar ut gränserna mellan ljust och mörkt och skapar en musikalisk resa från det förflutna, mot nutid och framåt.
Som relativt ung i sitt producerande har Blue Hour redan uppmärksammats av många av genrens ledande artister & institutioner, såsom Berghain-sammanslutna skivbolaget Ostgut Ton - där producenten Function bjöd in honom att remixa Ostgut-kollegan Tobias, samt bistå med exklusivt material till Function’s ‘Berghain 07’ mix och ett track på den uppbackande tolvan. Answer Code Request, Marcelus & Steffi har nyligen remixat hans låtar Axis Motive, Reference 97 & Moments som släpps som den första i en serie av tre remix-paket som väntar på hans egna label Blue Hour.
