DSLR - Basic course - getting off Auto Course in English
Course Date: Daily courses run at 10.30am Monday to Friday (Choose the day that suits you best)
- The perfect course for those who you who own a DSLR camera (model not important) but feel that you are not getting the benefit of this wonderful and powerful creative tool.
- Owning a DSLR is a great step to better photography, but compared to using a compact camera it means carrying around something much bigger, yet for many the advantages that a DSLR bring are not taken advantage of due to the complex nature of the camera.
- If you are like many people who leave the camera dial in the green Auto dial and shoot but are disappointed more often than not then this 2 part beginners course is for you.
We cover the basics of what the other controls can do
- Controlling Shutter speed, - How, when you need to and why it can make a difference
- Controlling Aperture, How, when you need to and how it can help you be more creative
- Controlling available light, in combination with Shutter speed and Aperture we discuss how we can add additional light (without flash) to get the exposure you need for your subject
- Using on camera (built in flash), how you can make the best use of the provided flash (external and off camera flash covered in the next level of the course
- Finally, shooting RAW. Why we do so, and how we can manipulate a RAW file to bring out the elements of a photograph. We will use Adobe Lightroom (available as a free 30 day trial download) to show you some basics of RAW file manipulation
This intensive course is a one-to-one cours split into 4 study hours
You don't need any previous DSLR experience, but you need to bring with you your own or a borrowed DSLR camera, memory card and suitable lens for your camera.
When you enrol state the camera make, model and lens you will be bringing.
Price for the course is 1200kr (including moms), paid in advance to secure your place.
Students qualify for a 20% discount (proof of student ID required). Discount given when you attend the course and show ID
Upon attendance at any of Studio Fotos - Stockholms photography courses you also get 3 months follow up email support for any questions related to the content of the course and 20% discount on any of Studio Fotos - Stockholms photography packages with your own personal discount code, this can also be used on follow up courses. The code is valid for 12 months from date of course.
