Kreutzersonaten och frukost!
Per Tengstrand vid flygeln och Viktor Bergendal med violinen framför Beethovens Kreutzersonat som uruppfördes på förmiddagen i maj 1803.
Åren innan fick Beethoven allt större problem med sin hörsel och reser till kurorten Heiligenstadt norr om Wien för att försöka läka den. Under hösten skriver han sitt testamente där han skriver om sin dövhet:
“Alla ni människor
som tror eller säger att jag är fientliga mot Er, eller att jag
är envis, eller att jag avskyr mänskligheten, ni inser inte
hur illa ni gör mig... Jag är döv”.
Kreutzersonaten uruppförs året därpå med engelske virtuosen George Bridgetower som sonaten först var dedikerad till. Men efter att Bridgetower fällt en förolämpande kommentar om en kvinnlig bekant till Beethoven, omdedikerar han den till Rudolphe Kreutzer som för eftervärlden fått ge namn till detta mästerverk, Kreutzersonaten.
Efter konserten bjuds publiken på kaffe, te och smörgås.
