BEACHTAPE
Beachtape bildades i Brighton, Storbritannien och består av Rory Sear, Leo Kenyon, Andy Kemp och Dan Mcauliffe. Kvartetten debuterade förra hösten med EP:n Hold Music som släpptes på Stockholmsetiketten PNKSLM Recordings (ShitKid, Les Big Byrd, HOLY etc), och nu är de tillbaka med en tvåspårig sjutumssingeln.
Med sina två starkaste spår hittills visar sjuan upp Beachtapes melodiska och fuzziga indierock, ständigt med ena benet i drömmig beachpop och det andra i anthemisk alternativrock.
BUSY TANNING
Idén till ett nytt band föddes en sensommareftermiddag vid Grössjöns eldplats. Sega och solstinna tankar formades om ett band som kompromisslöst skulle spela den skramligaste popmusiken möjligt, så melodiöst och fullständigt sprucket som bara gick. Sagt och gjort, när elden slocknat bar det av mot replokalen där de två första låtarna skrevs redan samma kväll. Ett år senare är nu en 5-låtars EP-inspelad innehållande naiv, barnsligt melodiös och dissonant skramlig lo-fi pop. Debuten "Modern times" släpps den 25 augusti på Umeå/Stockholm baserade Dissonansloggan, digitalt och på en splitkassett med Isak Falk.
Busy Tanning består av medlemmar från Umeåband såsom Lesley, Spice Boys, Skelett, Beyond Six Lions, Pentry och Salenko.
Arrangemanget görs med stöd från Stockholms Stad och i samarbete med Studiefrämjandet och Svensk Live.
