Ballader och Grimascher:
Året är 1970 och Fatumeh vaknar i Medborgarkvartertet, ett kvarter glömt av staden där musiken blomstrar men allt annat fallerar. I fast beslutsamhet om att förbättra kvarteret tar hon saken i egna händer, men det går inte som planerat. Samtidigt vaknar resten av staden upp till ljuva toner, vi möter karaktärer från Cornelis kända låtar och dras med i deras livliga vardag. Men vad händer när deras tillvaro rubbas av ett rivningsbeslut? Och hur agerar man när musiken hotas att tystas? Med allt från “Somliga går med trasiga skor” till "Turistens klagan” bjuder vi in till en fartfylld föreställning om gemenskap, kärlek, kamp och framför allt hopp om framtiden.
