ATARI TEENAGE RIOT
Ni såg kanske den klassiska spelningen 1999 på Hultsfredsfestivalen, eller den till bristningsgränsen packade konserten på Debaser Slussen 2011? Det är därmed fyra år sedan Berlin-legendarerna stod på svenskt territorium, men nu äntligen 2015, tar vi tillbaka digitala hardcore-gruppen ATARI TEENAGE RIOT för att göra årets hårdaste elektrospelning på Göta Källare 1 Okt!!!
Det finns få grupper i världen med lika kontroversiellt rykte som ATR. Sedan gruppen bildades i 90-talets Berlin, som en motreaktion på den nynazism som influerade tyska techno-scenen då, har de inte gjort annat än att väcka reaktioner. Låtar som "Hetzjagd Auf Nazis", "Deutschland (Has Gotta Die!)" och "By Any Means Necessary" har skapat rabalder i media och upplopp världen över. Så kanske aldrig förr har de varit så viktiga och relevanta som idag, då brunt stöveltramp hörs ända in Svenska Riksdagen.
Bandet som under 90-talet sålde över en miljon album splittrades år 2000 när bandmedlemmen Carl Crack dog av en överdos. Medlemmarna Alec Empire och Hanin Elias gick då skilda vägar men återförenades 2010, då med nya mc´n Rowdy Superstar, och fick kritiker att stå mållösa. Enligt Alec Empire handlade återföreningen enbart om en enkel mjukvaru-uppdatering. Nu har de släppt sitt sjätte album "RESET" och kommer därför till Göta Källare i Stockholm för en exklusiv Sverigespelning där dåtidens råa upprorsanda kommer blandas med nutidens pålästa och organiserade.
